I interrupt the normal flow of content to DIYBIKING.COM to show you this rendition of what Scarlett Johansen's character from Lucy would be like if she were a cyclist...
…and, more importantly, to let you know that News 12 Connecticut, which was kind enough to cover my Cycling with Candidates project last year (thanks again, Kathryn Hauser!), is focusing on cyclists for its Question of the Day: Would you like to see more options for bicyclists in your community?
I haven't the foggiest idea who would click 'No' on this poll, but that doesn't mean that every cyclist in Fairfield County shouldn't log on to News 12 and click 'Yes.'
And remember: repainting a street to give it a bike lane gives cyclists more space that cars won't really miss, and the cars themselves are going to drive slower - and in light of the car-on-person accidents plaguing this area lately it's an especially fine idea. Streets don't work for anyone if they don't work for everyone - and Complete Streets Can Save Lives. Thanks for reading and thanks for riding.
